The Dominica Flag was adopted on November 3rd,1990. The red circle in the middle represents socialism. The sisserou parrot is the national bird and is only found in Dominica. The ten stars show equality of people. The green color stands for the vegetation, the yellow is for sunshine, the black is a symbol of the rich soil, and the white shows the rivers.
